On May 10, as part of the plastic pouches event organized by AMI and sponsored by Mespackto be held at the World Trade Center in Barcelona from May 10 to 12, we will open the doors of our facilities in Santa Perpètua de Mogoda to receive the visit of the participants of the event.
The tour will consist of a guided tour through the production plants and a series of exceptional corners on the recent innovations that we have co-created with customers and partners in the flexible packaging sector, such as Amcor, Dow, Hoffer, Menshen and ProAmpac.
Through these corners, attendees will have the opportunity to experience first-hand the largest portfolio of equipment in the flexible packaging industry and our state-of-the-art developments, the digital platform Mespack Athenacustomized and integrated turnkey solutions, and everything Mespack is capable of.
Attendees will learn about Mespack’s equipment manufacturing process with the highest quality standards and factory acceptance testing. In addition, visitors will get a glimpse of a project co-created with one of our spout packaging partners, Hoffer, with whom we developed the HF series, machines that horizontally fill the spout and allow filling efficiency of pre-made spout pouches. Using this platform, we can supply 100% recyclable monopolymer hot-fill spout pouches, featuring Hoffer’s Trust-T-Lok fitting.
Mespack offers a new digital platform to its visitors
During the visit, participants will have the opportunity to fully experience Mespack Athena, a new digital platform designed to work with all Mespack machines. Thanks to this platform, Mespack can support its customers in the analysis of data with transparent production dashboards, thus increasing the productivity of their installations. In addition, to develop predictive maintenance, we will provide better knowledge of the machine and its operation. One of the benefits of IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) is the incorporation of sensors that give explicit details of machine performance under various circumstances, providing a deeper level of insight that was previously unobtainable. .
Regarding recyclable materials, Dow, Menshen and Amcor will also collaborate with two corners. Either way, attendees will learn better about working within the philosophy of open innovation and how it enables us to do more for the flexible packaging industry and our customers.
Amcor will showcase its award-winning AmLite HeatFlex ready-to-recycle pouch for autoclave application. Simultaneously, it will be explained how the two companies accompany their customers on the way to flexible recyclable solutions, thus gaining knowledge of various material structures and equipment fully adapted to ready-to-recycle materials.
In addition, in connection with the Mespack Innovation Center (MIC), participants will see how Mespack industrializes and applies the technology developed at MIC to equipment to optimize and improve them for use with sustainable caps and films. Additionally, they will learn how Elmedur sealing jaws, lower jaw cooling with triple pointer or air cooling on sealing stations can help to use recyclable structures.
Dow and Menshen will share a corner with Mespack at the Mespack Innovation Center, showcasing various machines (vertical, horizontal, water soluble pods and end-of-line equipment). In addition, customers will learn about the recyclable spout pouch developed jointly by Dow and Menshen and how we adapted Mespack technology to work with custom polyethylene resins and the Menshen spout. In this sense, Mespack will explain how we are leading the transition to sustainable packaging by carrying out weekly tests for our customers and partners and applying all these I+D developments to our current portfolio.
ProAmpac will lead a corner with Mespack focused on co-creating innovative machinery for cutting-edge packaging solutions and projects with the expertise of the Mespack team, along with the most talented technical experts in the packaging industry. flexible packaging. well-known CPG brands.
