JACKSON, Wyoming (October 21, 2021) – Stio is proud to announce the launch of Stio Second Turn â„¢, a circular commerce pilot program and the brand’s latest sustainability initiative that will allow customers to purchase and trade lightly used Stio products from the collections of the season spent cleaning, repairing, renewing and putting back into circulation.

Stio Second Turn has been designed to give Stio products the longest possible life, keeping equipment used longer and out of landfill. These delicately used and recycled items will help conserve water and reduce the environmental impact of the production of new products.

This is an initiative aligned with Stio’s commitment to reducing its own carbon footprint. Earlier this year, the company achieved 100% climate neutral certification, reducing and offsetting all of its carbon emissions for its operation in 2020. Stio has also strived to increase the use of preferred materials in its collection by using recycled fabrics, from responsible and organic sources that have less impact on the planet. The brand has increased its use of these sustainable materials to 30% in 2020, with a goal of exceeding 50% use by 2021.

Stio Second Turn will accept lightly used Stio garments from customers that are in good condition and still perform well. Customers will be able to complete a redemption form on the Stio Second Turn to place and send the items with a prepaid shipping label, or return the items to one of four Stio Mountain Studio® stores in Jackson Hole and Teton Village, Wyoming, Park City, Utah and Boulder, Colorado.

Once items are accepted, individuals will receive a digital gift card representing up to 25% of the current retail value of each item, depending on the condition of the items. Gift cards can be redeemed at or at any Stio’s Mountain Studio store. Rejected items will either be donated or recycled.

“In 2020, we achieved climate neutral certification and we are committed to reducing and offsetting our footprint in the years to come. The ability to offer a program where we can keep our clothes out of landfills for longer is another step on that journey, ”said Stephen Sullivan, Founder and CEO of Stio. “Our clothes are built to last and the clothes sold through our Stio Second Turn program have a lot more adventures in them. We pride ourselves on giving new life to these pieces while avoiding unnecessary waste.
